Lapland in Finland is the location of the THIRTEENTH edition of the RacingThePlanet Ultramarathon. Considered the last wilderness in Europe and land of the midnight sun because the sun literally never sets in summer. Lapland is also one of the best places to see the Northern Lights!
The 250km / 155 mile course showcases the breathtaking highlights of Lapland including stunning fells, coloured rocky ravines with “rakka” rocks from the Ice Age, great Taiga forests, up to 500-year-old kelo trees, pristine lakes as well as clear rivers and stunning gorges. Competitors will also experience the Sámi culture as well as many species of reindeer who out-number people in this sparsely populated region.
